Summer is all about sunny, bright days. Sun bathing, beaches and all but sun can cause damage to both your skin and hair. It is very important to protect your skin from the harsh sun rays.



Sun rays can damage the skin and you may face sun burn, tanning, rashes or even premature aging. Below are some skin care and beauty tips that will help you combat the harm that sun rays cause and help your skin stay protected in summers.

Water


In summers even the leaves get dry due to the temperature, so make it a point to hydrate yourself by drinking at least 7-8 glasses of water or you can take some fresh fruit juices like watermelon, pomegranate etc. They will keep you hydrated and will also give you beautiful skin.


Sunscreen


Always wear your sunscreen as sun rays can cause premature aging and pigmentation. Use a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 and try to stay indoors from 12 pm to 3 pm when the sun rays are the harshest and the strongest. Use your physical sunscreen 20 minutes before you step out in sun. Sunscreen are very important to minimize the sun damage.


Moisturizers


Like you hydrate your body your skin too needs moisturization in summers and hydration can be the top most skin care tip can you can have in summers so, apply a water based moisturizer as skin gets greasy quite soon in this season.


Skin care regimen


Even if it is summer and you feel that you don’t need that much skin care products then think again and religiously go for your cleansing, toning and moisturizing. It keeps skin healthy and glowing though you can choose water based and light skin care products for oily skin.


Scrubbing


Exfoliate or scrub your body and your face to reveal a glowing skin. By exfoliation you get a clear and healthy skin and also, it reduces tanning and blemishes marks.


Face masks


Go for face packs or masks like the fruit face packs to hydrate and repair your facial skin. Fruits like papaya and banana are very good at hydration and also to remove the marks and spots. These fruits can be easily mixed with either curd or honey to make a luxurious face mask.
